10 WWE Wrestlers Who Need To Redeem Themselves In 2025
7. Giovanni Vinci
The last two years have been a dream run for Gunther and Imperium, well mostly for Gunther, as he set the record for the longest Intercontinental Championship reign and later became the World Heavyweight Champion. His trusted cohorts, Ludwig Kaiser and Giovanni Vinci, always stood by his side until the latter got kicked out of the group in April 2024.
Ever since Imperium broke into the main roster, WWE portrayed Vinci as the weakest member of the group, and his exile from the faction made fans wonder what WWE might have in store for the Italian superstar's future. WWE answered that question when they aired vignettes showing Vinci with his old NXT gimmick as a wealthy Italian snob, which one might say is an Italian version of Alberto Del Rio.
However, WWE killed that push before it began when Vinci lost his return match against Apollo Crews in 4 seconds on the 6 September 2024 episode of SmackDown. After another defeat to Crews two weeks later, Vinci is yet to compete in a televised match.
Konnan speculated that WWE killed Vinci's push since he has legitimate backstage heat. It's a big case of "What If" as fans speculate what was WWE's original plan with Giovanni Vinci's reboot before everything fell out of place, but unless Vinci sorts things out with WWE management, he might not have a future in the company in 2025.
