Not long ago, Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins of The Street Profits were a top team in the WWE tag team division, holding the tag team titles for 224 days. They wanted the smoke, and WWE didn't hesitate to give what they asked, but it's safe to say that The Bloodline holding both tag team titles hostage played a big part in their acts becoming stale.

Although Ford and Dawkins joining Bobby Lashley to form The Pride seemed promising for a revival of the tag team, it all came to an abrupt end when Lashley left WWE in August 2024. While they continued to perform on SmackDown, they still had to deal with the Bloodline, and the emergence of DIY and the Motor City Machine Guns to the tag team title picture pushed them further down the ladder.

Dave Meltzer reported that Montez Ford has been resisting a potential heel turn and break-up with Angelo Dawkins due to concerns over his partner falling into nowhere land. WWE could've booked both of them to turn heel, but that spot went to DIY. Now, The Street Profits have no choice but to sit tight and let things unfold until Raw moves to Netflix and work with the officials to figure out their new direction. Unless they do something that would make them stand out in the tag team division in 2025, they might fall even down the cards.
