10 WWE Wrestlers Who Need To Redeem Themselves In 2025
2. Shinsuke Nakamura
Wrestling fans feared for their sanity when Shinsuke Nakamura got called up to the main roster in 2017, obsessing over the fact that Vince McMahon was lurking around the corner, waiting to ruin another NXT success story. They breathed a sigh of relief when McMahon booked "The King of Strong Style" to win the 2018 Royal Rumble match and set up a dream match against AJ Styles at WrestleMania 34. But then came the punch to the gut when Nakamura lost the WWE title match against Styles.
People have talked about it exhaustively enough for the past six years, but WWE took their sweet time to restore Nakamura to his former glory. Nakamura floundered in the mid-card despite capturing the United States, Intercontinental, and Tag Team titles along the way. However, the recent tweak in his character has given him a much-needed reboot.
He defeated LA Knight to capture the United States Championship, and if booked right, Shinsuke Nakamura can do extraordinary things with the sinister Samurai-themed gimmick. 2025 should be the year "The King of Strong Style" redeems himself and finds his way back into the main event picture.
