10 WWE Wrestlers Who Need To Redeem Themselves In 2025

1. Finn Balor

WWE raised some eyebrows when Finn Balor got pushed straight to the moon and became the inaugural Universal Champion at SummerSlam 2016. But the reign ended as soon as it began, as the injury he sustained during the title match forced him to relinquish his title the next night on Raw.

The following years saw him return from injury and struggle to regain the lost momentum. Apart from his occasional outings as the "Demon King," a few unfruitful mid-card title reigns, and a brief return to NXT, the Judgment Day faction is what revived his career in WWE. The faction has been featured prominently on WWE television for the past two years, and Balor enjoyed three significant title reigns during this time, including two that lasted over 170 days.

Balor is already showing signs of tension with "Dirty" Dominik Mysterio, which could signify that Judgment Day is nearing its endgame. Once everything is said and done, Balor should put the faction behind him and focus on his singles career in the coming year. WrestleVotes reported WWE is planning to give Balor a sustained singles push in 2025, which is a welcome sign. It's only fitting that WWE rewards Balor's patience with a main roster world championship run, which has evaded him for eight years.
