10 WWE Wrestlers Who Peaked In 2017

7. Nia Jax

She has her critics, but even the most ardent of them would have to admit that Nia Jax enjoyed a pretty impressive 2017. She did pretty much everything, in fact, apart from win title gold - including an appearance in WrestleMania's primary women's match.

The predicament she now finds herself in, however, is and has been pretty clear to see since the inter-brand elimination match a couple of weeks back at Survivor Series. She's supposed to be the female division's version of Braun Strowman, and yet Asuka looks far more imposing in the ring.

Worse, few are getting excited about the possibility of seeing the Empress of Tomorrow lock horns with Nia. That combination is probably a distant sixth or seventh in the list of potential match-ups, some way behind the prospect of Asuka going one-on-one with Charlotte.

If she carries on improving at the current rate, there's no reason to believe she'll be surplus to requirements (especially now that the women's division appears to be expanding further) but as a title-chasing star?

We're not convinced.
