10 WWE Wrestlers Who Should’ve Got One More Title Run

What? World Heavyweight Championship

When? Anytime before he was phased out…

Why? While you can usually pinpoint an exact point in time at which someone should’ve won back a championship, it’s difficult to do that with Christian, mainly because his in-ring career was concluded so abruptly.

After several years of service, Christian was quietly demoted to pre-show discussion panels and talk show segments with no actual announcement of a formal retirement – not the best reward for risking life and limb in all those TLC matches…

Plus, there was unfinished business as far as Christian was concerned when it came to his previous world title runs.

Having waited almost 13 years to capture his maiden world championship, he’d lose the belt just five days later – two days, if we don’t include the tape delay. Even his second reign only lasted four weeks before dropping the title back to Randy Orton at SummerSlam 2011.

In short, Christian deserved one final stint as world champion, partly to give him a proper send-off and partly to atone for the brevity of his earlier spells with the gold.
