10 WWE Wrestlers Who Won Championships With Multiple Gimmicks

2. The Undertaker

The Undertaker may have used only one name throughout his iconic WWE career but there's no denying that between 2000 and 2003 he was an entirely different beast. The Deadman came alive during those years, eschewing the zombie mortician look in favour of short hair, motorcycles and bandanas. The supernatural was removed and biker chic was clearly in.

The Undertaker was successful regardless of his gimmick however, winning world championships both as The Deadman and as the American Bad Ass. 'Taker also won tag team gold both as the living and the dead, although it is his accomplishments as The Demon of Death Valley that are best remembered

'Taker's run as American Bad Ass may well go forever underrated. It is a testimony to the ability of the performer and the enduring strength of the character that he was able to remove pretty much everything about the gimmick and rebuild himself entirely yet still manage to sit proudly at the top of the table. Undertaker's biker years didn't result in a single lost step, and that should rank as one of the greatest achievements of this all-time great.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
