10 WWE Wrestlers Who Would Be Right At Home In NJPW

8 & 7. The Revival

For all the good booking that Gedo has put together in NJPW, the treatment of the IWGP Tag Team Championships over the last few years has been nothing short of neglectful. The same pattern is repeated year after year - team wins titles at Wrestle Kingdom, gaijin team wins them briefly over the summer, the final of the World Tag League impresses, and then the cycle begins again.

The Revival deserve so much more than neglectful booking, and hopefully their decidedly old school stylings would serve them well in NJPW. Dash and Dawson are two of the most consistent professional wrestlers on the planet, and consistently decent matches could well be the saving grace of the division.

It will take more than Scott Dawson and Dash Wilder to fix the problems with New Japan's tag team booking. Even so, any division would be better off with The Mechanics as one of its parts.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
