10 WWE Wrestlers Whose Theme Songs Were The Best Thing About Them
3. Dan Severn
To be fair, I liked Dan Severn. He wasn't the most flashy competitor around - especially during the Attitude Era - but the reigning NWA World Heavyweight Champion gave off an aura of true toughness during his brief stay on Raw. It wasn't the fact that he was a UFC trailblazer and former Superfight Champion, it wasn't even the mustache - it was the music.
Severn's music was simple, for sure - it wasn't much more than a guitar riff. Still, it was a great guitar riff. It traveled through loudspeakers and tore into arenas the same way that Severn was about to tear into an opponent (provided that opponent was Mosh or Jesus Castillo). It was a reckoning, a call to arms, an Armageddon.
Severn left WWE in 1999 amidst creative differences - according to the man himself, WWE wanted him to become an Undertaker disciple and write the number "666" on his forehead. Severn balked, but there was no reason for the cold feet. He already called himself "The Beast" and he already had one hell of a good entrance theme.
Soon afterwards, the music was given to "Dr. Death" Steve Williams, who was returning after being injured in the Brawl For All tournament. He was released soon afterwards, and Severn's theme has since lay in the pit, waiting for the next legit bad-!*$% to let it loose on Earth.
