Booker T is now used primarily as a commentator in WWE, a table analyst on pre-shows and post-shows. While he is still in tremendous shape, he is not used in the ring all that much anymore. At this point, the five-time WCW champion seems happy to give his body a rest and reap the benefits of his hard work through the years. But don't let the suit and spectacles fool you; Booker T is all business. And he can get down at a moment's notice. Falling in with a rough crowd at a young age, Booker spent 19 months in prison for armed robbery at the age of 22. The tough life of the street wise young man from Houston taught him many lessons and was instrumental in making him turn it all around. He found a new direction when he became a pro wrestler but the truth was he never let go of that hard nosed fight that had been within him for years. In one of the most infamous incidents in recent WWE history, Booker T went toe-to-toe with Batista backstage at SmackDown back in 2006. The two men reportedly battled it out until being separated but by all accounts, Booker won the fight. Despite being outweighed by 20 pounds of muscle, Booker was still able to get the upper hand on The Animal. He was not intimidated and he would not be put down. Booker T had surely seen his fair share of fights before and would not allow Batista to get the best of him. He earned the respect of other WWE Superstars that day as well as that of fans that will never forget it. Booker T may smile and entertain but at his core he is all business. Stepping up to him means sitting back down just as fast. He doesn't play games and he cannot be pushed around. He is the real deal. And I know you can dig that.
