8. Karrion Kross

Okay, forget the wacky COVID-19 comments and questionable Tim Ferriss-esque approach to life; Karrion Kross is a star. WWE doesn't have many acts who jump out the screen with star quality, mimicking a cupboard that may well redefine the term 'bare'. The promotion doesn't have many stars, but it does have one on its hands in Karrion Kross.

Pro wrestling is a world of intangibles. The fabled X factor doesn't come around often but Kross has it, making the most of God-given genes by creating an aura and atmosphere that just as easily screams 'movie villain' as it does 'bad-ass babyface'. Karrion Kross could well be what Triple H always viewed himself as. Having Scarlett by his side certainly doesn't hurt.

Even Chris Jericho, a major figure on the other side of the Wednesday Night Wars frontline, has put his faith in the abilities of Karrion Kross. When Le Champion is singing your praises from the other side of the fence, you must be doing something right.

It takes more than skill to become a pro wrestling superstar. A performer needs the right look, the right presence, the ability to talk in a number of styles and work in just as many. Karrion Kross has many of these criteria ticked off already, and he is only going to get better with time.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
