10 Young WWE Stars With WrestleMania Main Event Potential

7. Ridge Holland

Crafting and promoting the stars who will lead the company into the next decade is WWE’s primary focus right now. After all, this was the leading motivation behind the widely considered unnecessary revamp of NXT to NXT 2.0.

However, not all NXT’s brightest stars for the future were held back in developmental. Former rugby goliath Ridge Holland was fortunate enough to gain an upgrade to SmackDown during October’s draft, and this indicates WWE have no interest in mucking around with the British brute.

Holland is a stiff wrecking-ball, whose most prominent run in NXT was as an ally of fellow English stiff-kicker Pete Dunne. Now that he is on the blue brand, Holland can get to work climbing the ladder, and he is sure to have some hard-hitting battles along the way.

Holland vs Cesaro, Drew McIntyre, Shinsuke Nakamura and especially Sheamus would be ruthless affairs, and exactly how WWE should present the brooding Brit if they want him to get over.

Ridge is rough around the edges but has all the tools to carve out a path of destruction on the main roster and become another headline attraction out of the UK for WWE. Less is more with this big guy, and as a silent assassin, Ridge Holland could be money in WWE.
