The WWF should've run a warning before TLC II that read: '9 tables were harmed in the making of this match'. That's how many wooden bases wrestlers thundered through in Houston. Putting the match together behind the scenes was surely a head-scratcher for Edge, Christian, The Hardys and The Dudley Boyz. After all, they'd already whipped everybody into a frenzy at SummerSlam 2000.

How on earth were they going to top that?! By getting even more extreme, that's how.

This time, Lita wasn't the only one who interfered to help her team. Spike Dudley was on hand to aid Bubba-Ray and D-Von, and Rhyno made his PPV debut to ride to the rescue for E&C. The bout's undoubted highlight reel moment came when Jeff Hardy was left dangling from the titles high above the ring yet again. This time, rather than belting him with ladders to make him fall, Edge performed a stunning spear that was mega-risky.

It's up for debate who had the worst bump; Jeff landing on his back/neck, or Edge plunging face first towards the match. No-one was safe, but both guys would consider the hit worthwhile once it became an iconic replay WWE could use hundreds of times after 'Mania X-Seven.

The finish, which saw Christian mount Rhyno's shoulders to pull down the belts, was creative and inspired too. Everything about TLC II was exactly that, and then everyone involved basked in the spotlight of success. They'd somehow bettered SummerSlam 2000, and few could believe it.

If you want peak TLC match chaos, then this should be your first stop.
