Many were left a little surprised to see Becky Lynch tap out to SmackDown Women’s Champion Asuka at the 2019 Royal Rumble, but that wouldn’t be the end of the Man’s involvement at that event.

By the time the buzzer went to herald the arrival of #28 in the women’s Royal Rumble, the Chase Field crowd was already chanting for Becky Lynch. But instead of Becky, #28 brought out Lana. Unfortunately for the future Hot and Flexible, an ankle injury suffered on the pre-show meant she was very much limping to the ring. And when Nia Jax attacked Lana on her own way to the ring, that left the Ravishing Russian down and out, as WWE officials - including one Fit Finlay - checked on her.

Enter, Becky Lynch.

Chase Field went crazy when Lynch strolled out to plead her case for replacing Lana in the Rumble. Even more so, those in attendance went totally nuts when, with a wry smile, Finlay gave Becky the nod and her entrance music hit.

Stomping to the ring, Becky Lynch would be confronted with the familiar face of Nia Jax, who the Irish Lass Kicker immediately took it to. Skip ahead 13 minutes, and it would be Nia and then Charlotte Flair who Becky would eliminate on her way to winning the Rumble and earning herself a main event spot at WrestleMania 35.
