12. Bret Hart & Lex Luger Tumble Over (1994)

Bret's stunning leg sell has already gone under the microscope earlier, but something bigger happened to the Hitman in January '94. He and fellow babyface hero Lex Luger tumbled out of the ring at exactly the same time. Unlike Batista and John Cena in 2005, this was completely intentional. Vince McMahon didn't have to tear any quads here.

Luger has always given Hart full credit for the spot's timing. Bret expertly worked the fall so that both he and Lex's feet hit the floor together. It was flawless, and proved Hart to be one of the most reliable wrestlers on McMahon's roster. Nothing like this had ever been done before in the Rumble, so it felt dramatic as everyone (including refs) floundered around confused.

Who was the real winner?! The WWF left that up to fans post-match. Referees raised Bret and Luger's arms in the air, and the live crowd's cheers pretty much decided who was going to be the next face champ. Hart won that popularity contest despite sharing the spoils in the 1994 Rumble with then-Hulk Hogan wannabe Lex.

Incredible stuff.
