Former WWE writer Chris Dunn has said that Sheamus, Cesaro, Shinsuke Nakamura and Lars Sullivan almost revived the nWo in 2020 during the closed door days. It's unknown whether or not they would've gone by the core New World Order brand or as a subheading ('nWo 2K20', for example), but...what a thought.

Dunn also disclosed how a "legendary nWo member" was set to fly in and introduce the group. That unnamed legend failed a COVID test, so couldn't appear on Raw or SmackDown to rubber stamp the quartet. Kevin Nash has since said that it definitely wasn't he or Scott Hall who received that call though, and Chris has made it clear one Sean Waltman wasn't asked either.

So, who was it? Hulk Hogan? Eric Bischoff? Horace?!

Presumably, Sheamus would've been the natural leader of this revived nWo concept. He'd already formed a tag-team with Cesaro, and Shinsuke had broken out as a successful singles star by that point. Meanwhile, big Lars would've surely been the project wrestler of the faction - everyone else would've worked overtime to get him over with fans.

Being honest, Sheamus, Cesaro, Nakamura and Sullivan wouldn't have been many people's blend for a redone New World Order. Precisely none of the members drip the same cool that Nash, Hall and Hogan did when they formed the stable in 1996, so WWE's reprise would've been forced down a different route.

'nWo: The Workhorses', perhaps? It's wild to even think about all of this. Did some writer just pick these names at random?!
