11 Best WrestleMania Endings

4. The Return Of The Warrior

The main event of WrestleMania 8 was a miserable match between Hulk Hogan and Sid Justice that still, some 24 years later, ranks as one of the worst main events in the long and illustrious history of The Showcase of the Immortals. Hogan was riding a wave of emotion in what was billed as his retirement match and fans were pumped to say goodbye to The Hulkster but beyond that, it had very little going for it and abruptly ended in a botched disqualification finish.

Thankfully, the disappointment surrounding match quality was erased in short order as The Ultimate Warrior made a shocking and unexpected return to WWE, just months after being fired for holding Vince McMahon up for a pay raise. He sprinted to the ring, helped dispose of Justice and the interfering Papa Shango and stood triumphantly with Hogan.

Two years after they delivered one of the most appropriately epic matches in WrestleMania history, the two most popular stars of their generation wowed fans in Indianapolis and provided the eighth incarnation of the event with an unforgettable finish.
