3. Management Has Cooled On Roman...A Bit

WWE Survivor Series 2015 Roman Reigns Cry

Vince McMahon still has big things in mind for Roman Reigns, and while most fans are still very down on him as a top star, most of them can hopefully agree that he hasn’t been shoved down their throats as much these days.

Part of that may be due to his Wellness Policy violation this year, but it also seems that the recurring negative crowd reactions Reigns receives have made Vince hesitant to go all-in on him. He’s not holding a major title right now, and entire episodes of Raw aren’t built off of him. Recently he landed a secondary title and engaged in a lengthy feud with Rusev in the upper-mid card, and is now on Team Raw for Survivor Series. He isn’t positioned as the captain though, and his mic time has fallen off a cliff these past few months.

It may only be a matter of time before Vince straps the rocket on his back once again, or perhaps he will decide that others are more deserving at the moment. The next year should be quite telling for Roman on how his long-term future is going to look.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
