No one would have guessed in Nov. of 2015 that we’d be talking about Goldberg vs. Brock Lesnar at the following year’s Survivor Series. That’s one of the great things about wrestling, you really have no idea what is going to happen. A Hall of Fame induction for Goldberg seemed like it was maybe on the table a few years from now, but another marquee match? No way.

Not only that, but as of this writing, things are going pretty well for him. Goldberg’s return to Raw was fantastic, Brock Lesnar’s sit down interviews were great and their face-to-face on Raw left us wanting more. If we're able to forget the atrocious Heyman promo in Minneapolis that McMahon cut short, then this has been a pretty solid build overall.

The match has a high probability of being a dud, but so was the first one. Now, though, it’s more of a spectacle, so fans may be more forgiving. That's besides the point though. In the bigger picture, seeing Goldberg back in a WWE ring makes you wonder who will be back a year from now. Hulk Hogan? CM Punk? It’s hard to rule out anyone.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
