11 Biggest Changes Since WWE Survivor Series 2015

6. Sheamus Means Nothing

WWE Survivor Series 2015 Sheamus

When Raw was in Scotland, all of the wrestlers in the upcoming tag team match at Survivor Series just seemed to take turns making fun of Sheamus. It wasn’t shocking or anything, as that’s what he’s been reduced to these days. But one year ago at Survivor Series, he became World Heavyweight Champion.

To be honest, he was perhaps the most lackluster Money in the Bank holder ever when he won the briefcase. WWE didn’t go through the effort of building him back up again after his victory, and seemed to have him cash in at the show, because they had no other idea of when to do it. He quickly beat Roman Reigns after his battle with Dean Ambrose, and went on to have a pretty mediocre title run. Still, he was a featured performer on Raw, and had a bit of credibility to his name.

Now Sheamus is a punchline. Nobody takes him seriously, and there would be no interest in seeing him battle for a top title at the moment. At 38 years old, this may be as good as it gets for him. He’ll likely turn back into a goofball babyface one of these days, but his time as a serious threat may be over. Bit of a shame, yes?

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
