11 Biggest Changes Since WWE Survivor Series 2015

5. Departing Wrestlers

In total, 36 different wrestlers appeared at Survivor Series last year, and one manager. Seven of the men who were at the show have left the company as active performers.

Ryback, Wade Barrett, Cody Rhodes, Alberto Del Rio, Zeb Colter, Bubba Ray and Devon Dudley have all found their way out of WWE.

Ryback and Del Rio have both main-evented multiple pay-per-views, so that could be seen as a bit of a blow. Barrett and Rhodes were vastly underutilized, Colter was a great talker and The Dudleyz...well, they failed to inspire during their last run. Still, seven out of 36 wrestlers leaving is a pretty sizable number. Only nine wrestlers from Survivor Series 2014 are no longer with WWE (many of them the same names as listed), so last year was a big year for departing talent.

We’ll have to see how 2017 plays out, but in wrestling it’s often safe to not bet on anyone sticking around long term.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
