5. Lack Of Undercard Developement
Lack of undercard development is a constant mistake on WWE's part when it comes to booking specials, but at Fastlane, they've messed up even worse than usual. There's only three matches booked outside of the main event.
-Becky Lynch and Sasha Banks versus Naomi and Tamina -Charlotte versus Brie Bella -Kalisto versus Alberto Del Rio
That's it. With less than a week to go, that's all Fastlane has to offer. Two of the matches are repeats, while you can almost guarantee that Sasha and Becky versus Naomi and Tamina will happen again on Raw or Smackdown in the next week or two. It isn't really a PPV calibre match, it is just a tag bout to fill time. All of WWE's promotional efforts have gone into the main event, and even if they do add some last minute additions, there isn't time now to really make anything else meaningful for this Sunday. It is a big mistake to keep blowing off the undercard like this, as many fans do look at events on the whole when considering buys/subscriptions.
