11 Great Moments From WCW Clash Of The Champions

3. The Brain Drops An F-Bomb

Bobby 'The Brain' Heenan was as composed as they come onscreen, but the reality-blurring ability of Brian Pillman proved too much for him at Clash of the Champions XXXII. By this time the Clash concept was somewhat dead, as live Nitros had made it pretty much obsolete, and just over a year later Clash of the Champions ceased to exist.

Still, the 32nd Clash was notable for a few reasons, not least Bobby 'The Brain' dropping an F-bomb on live TV. It came during a match between Pillman and Eddie Guerrero, and the first thing you notice watching this is Eddie's complete lack of character. Pillman, however, was all character at this point, the loosest 'Loose Cannon' in wrestling history.

Heenan had been suffering neck issues for a good while coming into this, so he was understandably miffed when Pillman came over to the desk to get a little physical. After shoving Tony Schiavone in the back of the head Pillman grabs Heenan and slightly grabs at his jacket. It doesn't look like much but to a man with a bad neck this was a serious no-no.

Heenan replied with an all-too-audible 'what the f*ck are you doing?' as he wondered whether Pillman had actually lost his mind.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
