11 HUGE AEW Full Gear 2022 Predictions You Need To Know

7. Dr. Britt Baker, D.M.D. Vs. Saraya

MJF William Regal
AEW

The context of this clash mustn't go understated.

Saraya was forced to retire due to injury in 2017, but that only tells half the story of her long absence. Back then, she was only seven matches into a return after an 18 month gap for a variety of personal, professional and physical setbacks. It's been well over six long and difficult years since, and the more time's arrow marched forward, the less this specific comeback felt likely.

In that time - half of it, realistically - Britt Baker has become AEW's top female star with or without either of the division's titles. An ultra-charismatic performer always at the top of her game or thereabouts, she was and is the perfect polished contrast to the hard roads Saraya has walked, even if the build veered wildly enough to risk flipping their alignments en route.

Britt Baker's go-home Dynamite promo leaned in to that prospective double turn too, but Saraya's response had less shades of grey. Full of blood and thunder and seemingly itching to lace up the boots, she'll be as keen to become a history-maker all over again in her new home. As a competitor in a pay-per-view women's match that isn't for the World or TBS titles, she'll do it too.

Godspeed to them both.

Winner - Saraya
