11 HUGE AEW Full Gear 2022 Predictions You Need To Know

3. The Acclaimed (c) Vs. Swerve In Our Glory

Swerve Strickland Billy Gunn

There is such a thing as too much of a good thing, even in wrestling, and even when that said good thing is drawing dollars out the *ss.

That's definitely the case and definitely why AEW should terminate The Acclaimed's Tag Team Championship run at Full Gear rather than several months from now.

The clues are all there that this won't be the case of course. FTR have befriended Anthony Bowens and Max Caster during their rivalry with Swerve In Our Glory and The Gunn Club, but the the post-match competitive glances have potentially revealed a future doubles defence down the line. Added to that is the obvious dissension between the challengers - they always looked like a team put together just to be torn apart, but is the bond currently simmering underneath?

Hopefully so. Keith Lee choosing violence and the indecent impulses of "Sneaky Swerve" should provide the shock twist here, scissoring The Acclaimed's dreams before they can turn into nightmarish shlock. He's shown flashes in both matches against Caster and Bowens before trying to stay righteous, but how successful has that strategy been lately? At their cruelest, they were still Champions...

Winners - Swerve In Our Glory
