11 Huge WWE SummerSlam 2022 Predictions You Need To Know

9. Liv Morgan (c) Vs. Ronda Rousey

Sasha Banks
WWE

A relatively low-key build has threatened to undermine what should be one of the more unpredictable matches on the night.

Ronda Rousey has tacitly and menacingly promised to bring Liv Morgan’s fairytale to a cruel conclusion at SummerSlam, but has tried to tiptoe the tightrope of heel and babyface in the process. In response, Morgan has made clear her intent to be no pushover, if only to prove that her Money In The Bank cash-in took just as much physical effort as a normal victory would. This dynamic could make the match the evening’s sleeper hit.

Expect Rousey to ramp up her vicious side and - because it’s WWE - regain the title for maximum heat. The company will believe, and they might be right, that Liv’s second chase will replace her lack of first one, and that they’ve made a star by virtue of her maiden reign. Elsewhere, a meaner ‘Baddest Woman On The Planet’ can walk further down a darker path until a WrestleMania 39 showdown with a face-turned Becky Lynch.

Winner - Ronda Rousey
