7. What Will Happen With NXT?

As Monday Night RAW and SmackDown have spluttered somewhat over the last couple of years, WWE's developmental brand NXT has gone from strength to strength. It is no stretch to say that it has become the strongest of WWE's shows, with logical storylines, fantastic matches and all sorts of consistency colliding to make the wrestling show WWE fans deserve.

So what happens with the yellow brand now? With RAW and SmackDown one sluggish beast NXT carved out its own niche as a strong second, a strong alternative to the boredom of the main product. WWE has given its fanbase little reason for faith over the years, so why should we believe this continues now?

In order to sustain the split more and more of the big names from NXT will have to jump up to RAW or SmackDown. What state this leaves NXT in will surely become one of the major stories in WWE going forward.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
