11 Legit Toughest WWE Wrestlers Of The Attitude Era

4. Meng / Haku

Meng in WCW, Haku in the WWF, this Tongan's real name is Tonga Fifita. He ended up in WWF right at the very end of the Attitude Era, in 2001, although he had been a WWF wrestler in the late eighties and early nineties. Once, when someone suggested to him that wrestling was fake, he bit their nose off. Rumoured to be impervious to pain, he was sensationally strong, as you'd expect from a pacific islander. Everyone in the WWE locker room feared him, and WWE.com states "Haku has the reputation of being, perhaps, the toughest man to step in the ring. Just the mention of his name would send a chill up the spine of his foes, and some of his friends, too." John Bradshaw Layfield is one of those who has identified Haku as the toughest guy he ever knew. Bill Goldberg has said "I don€™t know of a human being alive that could take out Meng in his prime. I really don€™t. One story I remember was when it took like 13 guys to get him out of a bar with Ric Flair. He was pepper sprayed and laughed at the cops and broke the cuffs right in front of them. This was a totally different human being." Ric Flair backs that up, saying "Don€™t ever think that anybody would mess with Haku. If he was a young guy and he got into MMA, my god €” he€™d have done everything! He was the toughest son of a bitch I€™ve ever met in my whole life. No lie, take my word for it."
