The fact that Vince McMahon didn't welcome Kurt Angle back to WWE in 2014 says it all. Kurt's TNA contract was up and the WWE needed headline talent. Yet Vince didn't budge. Despite time healing some wounds, Vince won't have quickly forgotten the time that Kurt tried to fight him during the firing / release meeting in 2006. Secondly, McMahon is all about loyalty. Upon releasing Kurt in 2006, he expected the Olympian to take time off and heal up. He would have then brought him back in a year's time. Instead, Kurt went to TNA and competed against McMahon. That would've personally hurt the WWE Chairman. Resentment has built up over the way the Angle / McMahon relations soured. Vince was surely seething with hatred in the summer of '06 and it may not have mellowed.
