6. Bianca Belair Vs. Becky Lynch - SmackDown Women's Title Match

Staggeringly counterproductive and flagrantly insulting even by WWE standards, Christ al-f*cking-mighty.

As was heavily rumoured, and very much known internally, Sasha Banks missed the show. Carmella was trotted out as her bait-and-switch replacement before Becky Lynch returned to a very loud and special pop. WWE deflated said pop by positioning her as a terrible babyface.

Imagine if, at Rampage: The First Dance, Darby Allin issued an open challenge. CM Punk, who like Becky Lynch got over by embarrassing the WWE system, dropped him with the GTS and won within seconds. It might have got over in Chicago, but everybody else would have decried the WWE-level bullsh*t.

It wouldn't have happened. AEW wouldn't risk burying somebody they've spent ages building up and presenting its returning babyface as an entitled w*nker. The woman who raged against Charlotte Flair's position was booked like a cynical parody of Charlotte Flair.

This was WWE-level bullsh*t that happened because Vince McMahon is a not particularly nice human being with a warped, ugly value system.

Lynch took Carmella out and challenged Belair. She then defeated her within seconds with a not-great uranage. Belair might as well have tapped to the Disarm Her for how humiliating and destructive this was.

Becky Lynch might as well have taken 23 seconds to make the cover.
