3. Chyna
When Chyna debuted as Triple H's bodyguard in 1997, she was an immediate sensation -- after all, it's a cowardly heel who hides behind a woman... but the woman in question was more intimidating than most of the men on the roster. Chyna proved her worth, helping HHH score big victories and manhandling (pun intended) his competition when necessary. She would join D-Generation X with Hunter, eventually becoming a babyface, but she truly made history when she branched off from HHH and set out on her own. She entered into a feud with Jeff Jarrett, defeating him for the Intercontinental Title and becoming the first woman in company history to hold a traditionally "male" championship. It wasn't long before she became one of the company's most popular stars. By 2000, Chyna added another two Intercontinental Titles to her resume and was featured in Playboy. Sadly, personal and backstage issues contributed to her firing in 2001, but Chyna had still cemented her place as a pivotal figure in the Monday Night Wars and WWE history.
