9. Lita
Like Trish Stratus, Lita joined WWE after the Monday Night Wars had become one-sided, but -- even moreso than Stratus -- Lita immediately grabbed a fan following. With a grungy look and a high-flying style, she was unlike any other diva in either WWE or WCW. She debuted as the valet of Essa Rios, mimicking the Light Heavyweight Champion's moonsaults, but soon joined up with The Hardy Boyz, forming Team Xtreme and finding her niche. In 2000, WCW did not have an active women's division, so Lita's athleticism truly stood out when compared to the competition -- she offered something viewers couldn't find in WCW, and became a role model for younger female fans. On August 21 of that year, Lita captured her first Women's Championship, defeating Stephanie McMahon in Raw's main event. Lita would hold the title three more times and be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2014.
