11 Most Overused Moves In WWE
5. Canadian Destroyer
The Canadian Destroyer is one of those moves that just looks like it hurts.
A cross between a sunset flip and a piledriver, this spins the recipient off their feet and directly onto the top of their heads so fast that even typing this line has me wincing. Originally banned from WWE television as part of a blanket ban on piledrivers, this has been a staple of NXT in recent months and even made its way to the main roster when Vince allowed Rey Mysterio to perform the spot in a match against Andrade.
When done right, you forget the impossible physics of the maneuver, as you worry you're witnessing the end of a career. When done wrong, it's kicked out of at two, and everybody applauds, while the creator of the move looks on in disbelief at what has become of his work.
In this case, that creator is Petey Williams, a two-time Impact Wrestling X-division champion and current Impact Wrestling producer. He's also the only creator of a move on this list who has felt the need to apologise for his move being overused by others.
