2. Owen Hart & Jeff Jarrett

Owen Hart and Jeff Jarrett might've seemed like a bit of an odd couple pairing on paper (Owen was the whiny little brother of a Canadian hero and Jeff Jarrett was somehow a less subtle reincarnation of the Honky Tonk Man), but they really complimented each other quite well. As heels, something between them just clicked, and they seemed to thoroughly enjoy pissing off crowds every night. Still, there wasn't much to hate about them once they got in the ring, because they had incredible chemistry--not just between themselves, but with pretty much any tag team they faced off against. They're real life friendship certainly helped the team gel from day one. Of course, Hart's tragic death would put an end to this fantastic team. We'd learn in the Raw tribute episode to Owen just how close these two really were outside of the ring, which just hit home how rare it is for two disparate wrestlers to mesh that well on a personal and professional level.
