11 Most Underrated Wrestling Tag Teams That Were Short Lived

3. The Hollywood Blondes (Steve Austin & Brian Pillman)

The Hollywood Blondes were a great cautionary tale for tag teams hoping to part ways and achieve singles success in WCW. Stay together as long as you can in WCW...then move to WWE to try your hand at individual superstardom. It can work out pretty well. The Blondes' matches with Shane Douglas and Steamboat remain some of the best ever presented on WCW television. These guys could really put on an exciting program when they were given the opportunity. But as with all things WCW, they were shoved apart before a year's time, without having any specific direction in mind for either of them as individual performers. Of course, the big caveat to their inclusion on this list is that, without their disbanding, the world would have been deprived of Stone Cold Steve Austin. Then again, it was Pillman and Austin's chemistry that helped kick off Stone Cold's meteoric rise, so all things considered, this was a tag team that needed to happen.
