11 Most Underrated Wrestling Tag Teams That Were Short Lived
8. Marty Jannetty & 1-2-3 Kid
No matter what, they were better than The New Rockers. That's something that Sean Waltman can rest his hat on. (Apologies to Al Snow.) Once it became painfully obvious that Jannetty just wasn't going to get over as a singles' competitor, there was no reason not to get these two guys together. Sean Waltman obviously shared a similar wrestling style to Jannetty, and the more experienced Rocker would be a good influence on the new kid. Despite winning the tag titles away from The Quebecers (to a huge pop from the crowd), they lost the titles back to them the very next week. Because of a real-life courtroom controversy, Jannetty (who had broken another wrestler's neck with a dropkick a few years earlier and was being sued), left the WWE temporarily, abruptly ending this potentially amazing team all too soon.
