7. The Minnesota Stretching Crew (Brock Lesnar & Shelton Benjamin)

Could you imagine how much easier Lesnar would have been to deal with if he'd had to spend a little more time paying his dues in OVW? And Shelton Benjamin, despite doing some good things in WWE during his time, could have used a little more time getting over in this dominating team. They're one main link to each other was that Benjamin was actually Lesnar's wrestling coach back at University of Minnesota (hence the play on the Anderson family tag team, the Minnesota Wrecking Crew). And although Benjamin was obviously the more skilled technician of the two, Lesnar was no slouch on the mat. He wrestled much differently alongside Benjamin than he would later on as a singles competitor, where he became a more Goldberg-ian destroyer in the ring Now, obviously everything worked out for Lesnar, and Benjamin was afforded a pretty solid opportunity as a member of Team Angle, but you really have to wonder how far this pairing could have gone had Lesnar not been called up to the WWE so soon.
