11 Most Underrated Wrestling Tag Teams That Were Short Lived

6. Air Boom (Evan Bourne & Kofi Kingston)

Back in 2011, the WWE's tag division was going through a bit of a slump. There weren't that many worthwhile teams to watch at the time, and Nexus members David Otunga and Michael McGillicutty weren't really cutting it as champions. The world was ready for Air Boom. Over the course of their incredibly short pairing, the high-flyers reinvigorated the division a bit while having some epic matches against combos like R-Truth & The Miz and Los Matadores. (No, seriously.) They were just so damn energetic and innovative that it was hard not to get onboard with whatever they were doing. Unfortunately, due to a couple of ill-timed violations of the company's Wellness Policy, Bourne was suspended twice during the team's peak of popularity. They were able to get back to their momentum after Bourne's first suspension, but the second one proved too much to recover from, and Kingston moved on to form a lukewarm tag team with R-Truth. ...We sure could use a little Air Boom magic in the WWE right now.
