4. MNM (Johnny Nitro & Joey Mercury w/ Marlena)
These two really felt like a modernized version of The Rockers when they debuted. They obviously had the in-ring talent to go pretty far, and their schtick of being "Hollywood celebs" who walked to the ring on a red carpet with paparazzi chasing them down was interesting enough to get them over as legitimate heels. Mercury and Nitro could hold their own against anybody in the tag division, including guys like Rey Mysterio and Eddie Guerrero, which is possibly the highest compliment you could give a tag team. They may not have had the best chemistry outside of the ring, but that's only because the two guys legitimately hated each other. Quite frankly, it's amazing that they were able to hold it together as long as they did, considering their explosive combination douchebaggery. Once Joey Mercury was set to serve a suspension for his violation of the Wellness Program, management decided to disband the team onscreen. They reunited for a bit a few months later, but then Mercury got his nose smashed into all kinds of gnarliness by a Jeff Hardy ladder shot to the face, which pretty much put the final nail in this duo.
