The Jericho Cruise featured wrestling matches on all four days of the journey at sea before returning to Miami on the morning of 31 October. However, the marquee match that was promoted ahead of time and streamed on 3 November courtesy of Fite TV was a six-man tag bout between representatives of the Bullet Club and the one-off Alpha Club.

Kenny Omega, Marty Scurll, and Cody faced The Young Bucks along with Chris Jericho, and while the match was largely played off as a fun affair, it was a unique one-time only contest that won’t be seen again. Furthermore, Jericho coordinated his ring gear with the Bucks, looking much like a throwback to his early days as one-half of the Thrillseekers.

While the match is unlikely to have any great future repercussions, it did prove that Y2J as a freelance wrestler is seemingly having the most fun he’s had in years. With that, it’s becoming clearer everyday that Jericho is increasingly unlikely to return to WWE anytime soon. For now, he continues to do whatever he wants as he wrestles throughout the world for whichever promotion he desires.
