10. The Undertaker Catches Fire Due To Pyrotechnic Screw-Up

There are few wrestlers more synonymous with a big, theatrical ring entrance than The Undertaker. While he was already a big star, he was taken to another level when WWE started to turn the house lights off for his entrance in the mid-'90s. The entrance has gotten more and more spectacular since then, especially at pay-per-view events, including WrestleMania, of course.

At Elimination Chamber 2010, Undertaker was defending his World Heavyweight Championship in the eponymous main event. By this point his PPV entrances included giant fireballs emerging from the stage. This time, for whatever, reason, an incompetent pyrotechnician badly mistimed the fireballs and burned The Undertaker. Twice.

">On TV, you could only sort of tell what happened, but live, as seen in the above fan-shot video, it was a nightmarish scene. He quickly stripped his coat off, ran into the glass Elimination Chamber pod, and started dousing himself with water bottles, which referees handed him repeatedly for the next 20 minutes as he waited to enter the match. In the match, he did everything he was supposed to do en route to losing the title to Chris Jericho when Shawn Michaels interfered to set up their WrestleMania bout.

Miraculously, Mark Calaway (we have to remember he's not an immortal zombie-like creature here) "only" suffered first and second-degree burns, which were described as looking like bad sunburns. As for the pyrotechnician, he was quickly fired, of course.
