It could be argued that John Cena put Daniel Bryan over as strongly as possible during their WWE Championship feud in 2013, with Bryan winning the title clean as a sheet in an epic battle. It felt like having Cena give Bryan the title shot was a way of making him look good to all the fans who cheer for Bryan, maybe earning Cena some respect.
