11 Problems Nobody Wants To Admit About WWE NXT

2. Top Stars Are Jumping Ship

NXT is a ticking time bomb, in which its success is ultimately going to be its downfall. Just look at the success stories of the first half of 2015, Kevin Owens, Charlotte, Sasha Banks. Where are they now? Over on Raw. It is a cannibalistic effect, in which NXT stars get over and then leave the brand. In the long run, that's going to leave NXT as a weak show. It can't be sustained. The danger is that there will ultimately be no reasons to tune in for NXT, as all their assets will have been stripped and moved to Raw. In the long term, it is big danger. And WWE can't just keep on plucking the next big stars from the indies, because many simply don't want to come. The Briscoes for example, they've turned WWE down in the past, because they can make more money on the indies. And that's another big problem for NXT, and is the reason why NXT wrestlers can't wait to jump ship to Raw. NXT simply doesn't pay that well. Raw pay (and indie pay in some cases) exceeds NXT money.
