11 Problems Nobody Wants To Admit About WWE NXT

3. Limited Appeal

When you go on an internet forum or see the Barclays Center full to the rafters, it is easy to fall into the trap of thinking NXT is really popular. In fact, the majority of WWE fans don't even bother watching it. While Raw bubbling under four million viewers is considered a disappointment, NXT's television show isn't even doing a million viewers. That's partly because it is on WWE Network, but it is also because it doesn't have a John Cena or any big league perception. What powers WWE is its mainstream casual audience, not the vocal minority of the internet wrestling community. All the noise about NXT is exactly that, noise. Hard business numbers aren't correlating with the perceived popularity.
