11 Problems Nobody Wants To Admit About WWE NXT

5. Fan Baiting

In long term booking, sometimes the bad guy has to win. Sometimes the company has to do the unpopular thing in the short term, just to have a big pay off in the long term. But down in NXT, there's a fan baiting mentality of just always booking the popular result. Even when heels win, like Kevin Owens over Sami Zayn, it is done in a fan baiting type of way. K.O was basically a babyface in wolf's clothing. You only need to look at NXT Takeover Brooklyn to see NXT fan baiting at its most apparent. Every single babyface won on that special, even when it didn't really make any sense for WWE's fututre - like Jushin Liger over Tyler Breeze. That sort of booking just isn't sustainable. Another point should also be raised, home grown talent like Baron Corbin (age 31) are jobbed to imported talent like Samoa Joe (age 36)... is that really the way of the future? Jobbing out the developmental stars to the ready made stars? It has a feel of WCW to it with that type of bringing established outsiders in to beat the internal development wrestlers.
