The biggest problem for both WWE and Sting, is that the moment has passed. All the value in his WWE career was tied up in that first year... and they wasted it. The momentum is gone now, following jobs to Triple H and Seth Rollins. Both the company and the wrestler would now find it difficult to really move forward into anything else. How can they put such a loser against The Undertaker, when another job is an inevitability? On the other hand, what purpose would it serve to put Sting over a younger talent? The reasons WWE and Sting are in a problematic spot, is because the whole thing has been booked into a corner. It really wouldn't be surprising if there are issues on both sides, with each blaming the other for what can be considered a disappointing first year.
