11 Reasons WWE Made Brock Lesnar Vs The Undertaker Hell In A Cell

11. WWE Network Struggles

First and foremost, the WWE Network is a huge factor in WWE's decision to run Brock Lesnar versus The Undertaker in October. The indication would be that Network subscriptions have dropped off significantly since SummerSlam, hence the move to offer a main event that will get drop-offs back on board. Is it a panic move by WWE? It certainly suggests an air of desperation, as if they felt like the cell gimmick and the main roster wouldn't have been a draw on their own. The idea is that Lesnar is the biggest star they have, and Taker is the biggest legend they have, so putting them together will create Network success. The thing is, that sort of booking is unsustainable. October was set to be a dud month, and they fixed it, but what about all the other B show months in the year? WWE are throwing everything they have at maintaining Network subscriptions, but in the long run it is merely a temporary solution.
