Less can often mean more in pro wrestling. Cena not being there for a month, it makes him then mean more when he does come back. Fans who had perhaps started taking him for granted, will realise just how flat Raw feels without him. Appreciation for his worth will grow, meaning he'll return to renewed stature. Think about it like chocolate, if you're eating it every day, you're going to get sick of it. But go a month without it, then have it again, you'll think it is the best thing ever. WWE will be hoping to have the same effect with Cena's absence. Fans have became so used to him, he's been so over-exposed, that he's got a little bland. But with time off, he'll be fresh again and add extra zing to Raw in the longer term. Wrestlers being put on breaks, just so they can come back with renewed relevance, is a smart booking strategy. Cena isn't the first major star to go away for a while and then come back even more relevant - Hulk Hogan was a master of taking time away to then come back stronger.
