6. Cena Is Extending His Career
The Undertaker is fifty years old and main eventing WWE's biggest specials in 2015. He's managed to last so long via a carefully managed part time schedule. Likewise, Shawn Michaels would regularly take periods off during his 2002 - 2010 WWE run. It ended up extending his career, as well as keeping him permanently over in that run. The fact is, when wrestlers hit their late thirties, it is physically that much harder. Cena is 38 and has been working a very tough schedule. Taking the time off will allow him to recuperate, in turn extending his career for the future. If he makes these time-off periods a regular thing, he could be like Taker or Michaels and enjoy a much longer involvement with the industry. He's physically and mentally going to be so much better-off after this break. In the long term that's good for WWE.
