11 Ups & 1 Down From AEW Dynamite (29 Sep)
Ups...
11. TayJay Settle It
Anna Jay and Tay Conti's battle with The Bunny and Penelope Ford was the night's tamest match in terms of crowd engagement, but still brought enough to the table to finish on the positive side of the ledger.
TayJay have been battling the heels and their constant shortcutting in a variety of different matches for weeks now. Sick of their sh*t, the Dark Order duo charged down the ramp and attacked early, controlling the opening periods before Bunny and Ford settled into their heat segment. Tay, the best worker in the match, worked with good gusto and intensity, particularly following her hot tag, and eventually put Bunny down with a TayKO on the outside to prevent her from interfering on the finish.
That finish? A Dangerous J kick into the Queenslayer, scoring TayJay the win, and earning an emotional post-match hug with Brodie Lee Jr.
Their Dark Order affiliation meant they more than earned that post-match scene independent of the other notable Brodie tribute later in the night. On top of this, they are now free of Bunny and Ford and ready to explore new storylines.
